Eileen Coogan joined Allegany Franciscan Ministries, a non-profit Catholic organization focused on improving community health, in 2005. At Allegany, Eileen successfully led the board and staff in navigating significant internal and external change, and was responsible for the launch of a major new community-based initiative. A servant-leader, Eileen has 30+ years of experience in non-profit management and leadership. She is skilled at engaging board and staff, building powerful relationships, embracing change, and focusing on continuous, mission-driven improvement. Previously, Eileen served as executive VP at United Way of Palm Beach County, Florida; executive director of LynnArts in Lynn Massachusetts; and manager at Project Bread – The Walk for Hunger in Boston. A graduate of Leadership Florida and Leadership Palm Beach County, Eileen is past-president of the Blue Ridge Institute, board member of the Florida Philanthropic Institute, chair of the Florida Health Funders, and serves on many other board and committees. She earned her BA at Mount Holyoke College, an MSW from Boston College, and a Certificate in Franciscan Studies from the University of St. Francis. Eileen lives in Trinity, Florida (Pasco County) with her husband Bernie, and sometimes their young adult children. She enjoys travel and outdoor activities including stand up paddle boarding and hiking.
