Carla Batts, Grants Administration Manager
Carla has an extensive background in the nonprofit arena working with at-risk youth and their families as well as providing key support in a statewide philanthropic organization. Her passion is to advocate and be a voice for those who are most vulnerable and to work with others to increase positive community change. She joined Allegany Franciscan Ministries in 2017 after serving over five years as Office Manager at Florida Philanthropic Network, a highly respected statewide membership network of philanthropic organizations working to build philanthropy to build a better Florida. Carla earned a bachelor’s degree in social work at the University of South Florida, was a member of the College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s List of Scholars and was a Conn Social Work Scholar. She also completed the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate Program offered through University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business.
As Grants Administration Manager, Carla supports the administration of all grant/community investment programs including the Common Good Initiative. She serves as the initial point of contact for grant applicants, providing information to grant seekers and grant partners regarding Allegany’s goals and priorities, funding opportunities and the application process.
Carla lives in Tampa. She loves animals and relaxing at the beach.
