Overtown Council for the Common Good Announces Request for Proposals


PALM HARBOR, FL, January 23, 2017 – The Overtown Council for the Common Good is seeking proposals from qualified community stakeholders with diverse backgrounds, experiences, skill sets and perspectives to collaborate around one of the community’s priorities, ensuring that Community Voices in Overtown Inform Policies and Decisions. The Council expects to invest up to $750,000 over three years to implement this strategic installment of the Overtown Common Good Initiative, and is seeking innovative solutions and implementation plans that address the following four strategies:

  • Conduct Ongoing Outreach and Engagement with Local Overtown Citizens,
  • Identify a Trusted and Effective Advocacy Network,
  • Develop Improved Communication Strategies Using Multi-media, and
  • Work with Organizations.

The deadline to submit a full application is March 1, 2017, by 12 pm (noon).
