Tampa Bay
Overview
The Tampa Bay region served by Allegany Franciscan Ministries is defined as Hillsborough and Pinellas counties. The Franciscan Sisters of Allegany came to the area in 1931; our grants and community work are intended to continue the Sisters’ efforts to care for those most in need in our communities. We invest in projects that assist underserved and economically poor persons, improve the overall health of these individuals by increasing access to health services and information. We are committed to improving the capacity of nonprofit organizations in the community, so that they can better serve those in need. We have awarded over 1,500 grants totaling more than $33 million to community-based organizations in the Tampa Bay region.
