The vast majority of Allegany Franciscan Ministries funds are directed to efforts to improve community health in one of the three defined regions. A small percentage is available to organizations outside of the six counties through one of two grant programs, Allegany Community Out Reach (ACOR) grants and the All-Region Fund.

Allegany Community Out Reach (ACOR)

ACOR grants provide short-term support to local community projects that are in keeping with the mission, vision, and direction of the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany.  ACOR grants are unique among Allegany Franciscan Ministries’ grant programs in that they do not have a geographic restriction.  Rather, they require a direct affiliation with the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany (i.e. where the FSA members are present as sponsor, trustee, staff or volunteer) or with Catholic Health East.  Click here to learn more about the ACOR grant program.

All Region Fund Grant Program

Typically All Region Fund grants support state-wide or multi-region activities that are related to health access, advocacy or philanthropy.  Grants may also be made to organizations serving communities outside of Florida, and may be directed to disaster response and recovery efforts.  Organizations must be invited to submit a request for an All Region Fund grant, for more information, please contact Erin Baird.
