Major Grants
In 2010, Allegany Franciscan Ministries will provide one-, two-, and three- year grants to support organizations whose missions are aligned with our focus of improving the overall health status of individuals and creating healthy communities through increasing access to health services and information. Organizations with programs and initiatives that utilize community and neighborhood assets to address health needs of underserved and economically poor populations are encouraged to submit funding requests to support general operating and program costs that are necessary for the organization to carry out its mission and have an impact on those in need.    

The deadline to submit a pre-application has passed.

Tau Grants
Tau grant applications will be reviewed in three cycles or until the funding is exhausted. Please carefully review the application kit before beginning to complete an application.

Complete Tau grant applications must be reviewed by 12 noon on the following dates in order to be reviewed during that cycle: February 12, 2010, April 16, 2010, and October 15, 2010.

UPDATE: An information session will take place on September 14, 2010 from 2:00pm – 3:30pm regarding the final cycle deadline of the Tau Grants.  Allegany Franciscan Ministries staff will present information and be available to answer questions regarding the final cycle of Tau Grants for 2010.  Attendance at the information session is NOT required, but is being offered for those that would like additional information.  The information session will take place at the Collaborative Labs and directions can be found at the link below:

Capacity Building Scholarships
Allegany Franciscan Ministries will award Capacity Building Scholarships throughout 2010 as long as funds are available. Scholarships of up to $500 may be requested to pay registration fees for conferences, seminars and other training opportunities for staff and board members of nonprofit organizations in order to increase their capacity to deliver efficient and effective services to those in need. There is a limit of $1,000 in scholarship funding per agency per year.

The program is now closed for 2010.
