Guided by the vision of the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany
A VALUES BASED ORGANIZATION
Allegany Franciscan Ministries is a Catholic organization, guided by the mission and rooted in the tradition and vision of the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, is a catalyst for systemic change by committing resources and working collaboratively with others to promote physical, mental, spiritual, societal, and cultural well-being in communities served.
DEDICATED BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Allegany Franciscan Ministries’ Board of Directors oversees the charitable affairs of the organization. There are 14 directors; the members include Franciscan Sisters of Allegany as well as lay persons with diverse backgrounds and experience. Directors serve three-year terms, without compensation, and meet at least quarterly.
The Allegany Franciscan Ministries’ staff team includes eight individuals who manage the ongoing work of our ministry. Our three regional vice presidents are “in the field” daily, working with grant seekers and grant partners and collaborating with other funders to improve the health of the community. The rest of the team works from our “central” Palm Harbor offices.
Allegany Franciscan Ministries believes in complete transparency regarding our finances and operations. As such, copies of our Bylaws, IRS Form 990 and annual year-end financial statements may be downloaded directly on our web site.
