The grant application and review process vary by grant program.  All applications are submitted online.

Major Grants:

  • There is one grant cycle per year.
  • Grant seekers begin the process by completing and submitting a pre-application.  
  • Staff review pre-applications and select applicants to complete a full application. Invited applicants will be notified.
  • Invited applicants complete a full application.
  • Site visits may be scheduled.
  • Staff and regional commissions review applications and make funding recommendations to board of trustees.
  • Board makes grant decisions.
  • Grant awards will be announced in September or December 2013.

Tau Grants:

  • There are three grant cycles per year.
  • Grant seekers complete and submit the Tau grant application by 12 noon on the following deadlines in 2013: February 21,  May 23, & October 17
  • Staff and regional commissions review applications and make funding recommendations to board of trustees.
  • Board makes funding decisions.
  • Grant awards will be announced in March, June and December.

ACOR Grants:

  • There are two grant cycles per year.
  • Grant seekers complete the ACOR grant application by April 2nd or October 1st.
  • Staff and grant committee review applications and make funding recommendations to board of trustees.
  • Board makes funding decisions.
  • Grant awards will be announced in June and December.

Capacity Building Scholarships:

  • There are no deadlines.  Scholarships are awarded as long as funding is available.
  • Applicants complete the Capacity Building Scholarship application at least  three weeks prior to the event to allow time for review and processing.
  • Staff review applications and make funding decisions.
  • Applicants are notified of decisions, and if approved, receive scholarship check with award notification letter.

All Region Fund Grants:

  • There are no deadlines.
  • Staff invite applications from nonprofit organizations primarily for statewide programs and other efforts that further our mission and impact the communities we serve.
  • Invited organizations will complete the All Region Fund grant application online.
  • Staff recommendations are presented to the board of trustees for funding decisions.
  • Grant awards are announced in March, June, September and December.
